Mani Rathnam who is the trustee of Mahesh Memorial Trust, read out the citation before the formal handing over of the facility.
Mahesh was also a very talented music composer and had composed myriad ad jingles. He succumbed to death after a 14-year long battle with cancer. During the last days, Mahesh was highly involved in motivating cancer patients and restoring their hope and spirits. It was the last wish of this brave soul to build a trust, which will raise awareness about cancer and also aid the treatment of cancer patients.
