Great looks and appealing body did not help Namitha make it with young actors. She started out by participating in the Femina Miss India Contest but her initial films were not with young hero’s. Her first film was with Vijaykanth for the movie Engal Anna, then she paired up with Sarath Kumar for the movie Aei, followed by Englishkaaran pairing up with Sathyaraj.
Being tremendously well endowed and very voluptuous, she’s constantly cast in almost all her films, entirely for skin show, but after couple of years, fortune has knocked her door for now she is pairing up with leading actors like Ajith, Vijay and Simbhu. She has a series of release lined up now. First would be Azhagiya Tamizh Magan where she would be pairing up with Vijay. Though not for Diwali, her film titled Billa with Ajith would be a great boost to her career.
Namitha believes that if actors are not talented, people will not come back repeatedly to watch them.
