Padukalam Book Launched by Sivakumar

Mr. Sivakumar (famous actor and father of Suriya) and Mr. Tamilaruvi Manian jointly released the book Padukalam written by P.K. Ponnuswamy, former vice chancellor of Madras and Kamarajar Universities. The book launch was a grand event, which took place at 10.00 a.m. at Film Chamber on April 11th.

Speaking about the book Mr. Sivakumar said that he felt the book best describes the culture of Kongunadu. Drawing similarities between a few incidents from his own past and those mentioned in the book, Sivakumar pointed out that the book will be a nostalgic journey to all those who hail from Kongunadu.

The book launch event was one of the most cordial and hospitable events in the recent times. A few excerpts that were read from the book indeed took us down the memory lane and connected us back with the glorious Tamil culture. Padukalam is one of Mr. P.K. Ponnuswamyâ€™s masterpieces.

The function was attended by the following literary giants of Tamil Nadu: Malan, Valliappan, Tiruppur Krishnan, Venkatraman and Valliappan.
